All About Mary Bowser


For double agent Mary Bowser any day could be her last. Mary Bowser was a black Civil war spy who is in the military intelligence hall of fame. She was a slave who was separated from her family and was bought by a rich landowner Spy.

Mary Bowser was born in Richmond virginia and participated in the civil war. When she was young she had special treatment according to the history channel. They also said that she was sent to the north to get formal education. For this time it was amazing also because she was African American!

One of the challenges Mary Bowser faced was breaking into Jefferson Davisś confederate White House finding her way to the top ranks and leaking lots of info to the union. Jefferson Davis knew a mole was in his estate but did not think twice of it being Mary Bowser. Later in life she married willson bowser and became a teacher at Fredman schools.

In the world Mary Bowser helped change big things. She was also one of the first colored spys. She helped stop slavery by participateing in the american civil war, and also is in the millitary intelligence hall of fame.

  1. Wait a minute, Mary Bowser isn't a double agent. They're a spy, there's a difference. Also, reading through I'm very confused with this information, I think you could have constructed your paragraphs better and explained things more clearly. For example: "One of the challenges Mary Bowser faced was breaking into Jefferson Davisś confederate White House finding her way to the top ranks and leaking lots of info to the union." I got confused reading the very end there. AND, shouldn't "Jefferson Davisś" be Jefferson Davis's?
